Durresi Mayor Vangjush Dako reacted on Thursday over the leader of the opposition, Lulzim Basha and Equal Chances “LIBRA” leader, Ben Blushi declarations. The last declared that accusations on his address of using his authority to enable the release from prison of one of the most dangerous criminal gangs’ leaders are entirely politically motivated. He underlined that the Lulzim Berisha was only one of 36 prisoners that benefited from the positive reference submitted by Durresi city hall to the prisons’ authorities. Dako added that Lulzim Berisha will work voluntarily in one of the City Halls enterprises without receiving a salary. 

Dako’s warranty which led to the recent release from prison of a person condemned for 5 murders, called one of the greatest scandals in Albania urged the Democratic Party (DP) to demand his urgent dismissal and the opening of an inquiry by the Prosecution on suspicions of criminal conspiracy.
