Minister of Interior Affairs, Saimir Tahiri, refused on Monday to answer to all the questions addressed to him by the members of the Inquiry Committee for the spying device IMSI Catcher.

He made it clear that for all the questions this Committee should demand a response from the prosecution due to the fact that investigation is still ongoing.

“Prosecution is investigating this case, you should address this institution. I have a lot to do and I must leave this committee,” said Tahiri.

The debate continued between the members of the Committee. Speaking in defense of Minister Tahiri the Socialist MP, Pjerin Ndreu said that he had no reason to answer. But according to Democrat MP, Flamur Noka Minister Tahiri’s attitude infringed the Inquiry Committee’s work.

Prosecution suspects that IMSI Catcher spying device entered in Albania against the law and was used from State Police to make illegal interceptions.
