Vlora, Independence Museum 80th Anniversary Commemorated

The 80th anniversary of the National Museum of Independence, the building that served to Ismail Qemali’s executive was commemorated during this weekend in Vlora. A commemorative activity that recalled facts and historic data was organized on this occasion.

The ceremony that took place in the National Museum of Independence was attended by intellectuals, historians, and citizens.

During his speech the museum director, Isref Dobi praised the organization of this activity, while stressing the necessity for an urgent reconstruction of this valuable museum. According to Dobi the museum reconstruction must include the furnishing and the chronology aspect.

The National Independence Museum, once known as the National Historical and Archaeological Museum of Vlora, has illustrated some of the most important moments of the Albanian state history.
