Despite the fact that he wished to play the full 90 minutes the fate was not his side. The Albanian National Team player Arlind Ajeti declared during an interview given to Klan Kosova that the replacement in the match against France was his only regret during Euro 2016 finals.

“I wanted to stay on the field during the full length of the game. At first coach De Biasi asked my opinion and I made him the OK sign, but then I fell down and was unable to continue the game. I regret my replacement during this important match but despite this fact I don’t think that’s why we lost against France. Everyone played hard. I am sorry only for not being able to help the team until the last minute” said Ajeti.

Even coach De Biasi used a sad tone at the end of the match while speaking over Ajeti’s and Kukeli’s replacements due to the fact that those forced replacement infringed his plans for a different game in the midfield and attack sectors.
