AEPC, Regulation for Interception of Mobile Phones

Authority of Electronic and Postal Communications (AEPC) asked from mobile companies in Albania to take all the necessary measures to secure their network. This institution made clear that mobile companies that operate in Albania in any case are not allowed to spy, except the cases predicted by law. In a special regulation, this institution defined the limits of mobile companies for phone tapping.

In any case, according to AEPC, telephone operators must prevent the interception of persons and those involved in communication, except when this action is authorised.
