The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Nikos Kotzias, will visit Western Balkan next week. Kotzias chose to start his visit from Prishtina, maybe to give the message that it is about time for Greece to recognize Kosovo. The visit of the Greek Foreign Minister in the region had two phases. Last month, the tour started with Belgrade, Skopje and Podgorica. Kotzias will arrive in Tirana on the 14th day of this month, where he will meet with the political leaders.
A series of developments are expected from this visit. Athens will reconfirm its support to the European path of Albania and for the integration processes. They are also expected to discuss joint energy projects, including TAP and the gasification of Albania. The maritime agreement is also an interesting point. Both parties are hoping for a quick solution, without letting it in the hands of the international intermediate or the International Justice Court.
