336 Cannabis Saplings Seized in Himara, Two Arrested

Some 336 Cannabis Sativa saplings were seized on Thursday by the Vlora police leading to the arrest in flagrance of two people. The narcotics saplings were discovered during two separate inspections in Selenica and Himara.

An inspection conducted in Ku� village, led to the discovery of 221 cannabis saplings in proximity of Diftir Ngucaj�s house. He was immediately arrested by the police on suspicions of being the narcotics quantity cultivator.

Meantime some 65 cannabis sativa saplings were seized at the end of an inspection in Bolena village. Zenel Aliaj, 49, was arrested in flagrance by the police.

A parcel of land with 50 cannabis sativa saplings was also discovered by the police at the end of an inspection in Drashovica village. The cultivators of the seized cannabis saplings remain still unknown to the police.

The arrested individuals will now be prosecuted on grounds of narcotics cultivation and attempted smuggling.
