An anti-narcotics raid, coded �Weekends, conducted on Friday by the Vlora police led to the seizure of 700 kg of Cannabis Sativa. The pursuit of a van plated EL 2494C in Dukat valley was finalized with the discovery of the cannabis quantity and the arrest of Selman Hamitaj, 71. Meantime his collaborator, B.T.44, was declared wanted by the police.

A total of 27 sealed packages containing the narcotics quantity, divided in 8 sportive bags, were seized in quality of material proof. The narcotics seizure was based on confidential information previously obtained by the police agents.

The police inquiry aimed to identify other possible collaborators and the destination of the narcotics quantity is still ongoing.
