The National Council of Restoration (NCR) approved the project for “Vlora’s Urban Center Re-qualification”, a process that includes the urban planning drafting, the restoration of culture monuments and other objects located in this area.

This project will be implemented in the heart of the city where its identity is still preserved through traces of 19th century and early years of 20th century constructions.

A number of roads, like “Justin Godar”, former-Bazaar area, “Hebrews’ Neighborhood”, “Laberia” club, former-Synagogue and Tabak’s Mosque, the biggest in this city will become subject to restoration. The city’s boundaries include a series of first category cultural monuments. “Justin Godard” is among the most important ones due to its architectonic and historical values.

This project is directed by the Ministry of Culture and is implemented in the framework of the historical centers revitalization, aimed to transform them into attractive points for the tourists and promoters of cities economic development.
