Democrat MP, Tritan Shehu denounced on Wednesday the public opinion deception by Prime Minister Edi Rama one day ago through the publication of some pictures related to the instruments sterilization center.

“Melodrama aimed to hide the concept of free health service. PM Rama made an attempt to hide the collapse of his policies related to the health sector by publishing some images of the surgical instruments sterilization center. First of all, this modern center has been established before the PM Rama’s governing mandate, thus it would had been much more rentable to be put into operation not through a kind of ‘concession’ but through a number of specialists qualification while remaining public. The fact that this center was given to a private along with an agreement that foresees payments of up to EUR 100 Million during a 10-years period of time for the entire country increases the cost, infringes every hospital decision-making process and generates an absolute private monopole in the market,” said Shehu.

According to Shehu large funds have been ‘abducted’ by the health sector through a series of concessions like the check-up, the labs and many others, further deteriorating this sector’s situation.

“Thus, the citizens are forced to pay more for a health service that don’t meet the requested standards putting their life at risk. This is the free health service that is no longer mentioned by the Renaissance,” declared the Democrat MP.
