TIRANA – Oil price in Albania is increasing again heading to the high levels after the decline in the begging of this year. At the retail points, the oil price reached the level of Lek 180 per liter and the traders say that the reason for the price increase is the increase of oil price in the stock exchange. In the domestic market, the oil price reached the lowest level in the beginning of February where in some retail sale points the price fell to Lek 165 per liter. But, since that time, the oil price curve has been upward and compared to prices in February, the oil is now more expensive. Another reason for the high price is the heavy fiscal burden what makes Albania the second country with the highest prices of fuel among the developing economies in Europe.
