The State Police General Director, Haki Çako paid an official visit to Italy with the support of EU mission ‘PAMECA VI’. The excellent cooperation between Albanian and Italian police in preventing narcotics trafficking through maritime-spaces and the enhancement of this cooperation were the main topic of discussion during Cako’s meetings in Italy. The last praised the valuable contribution given by “Guardia di Finanza” in preventing the illicit trafficking not only through the sea but also during other raids in land or air. 

“Maritime space between us is really an opportunity for free movement of our citizens, but it is an ocean for those who try to smuggle narcotics and deal with illegal activities. The excellent cooperation between two countries police forces and the highest level of coordination has created an impassable barrier for the traffickers,” said Çako.
