Minister of Transports, Sokol Dervishaj informed the Economy and Finance Committee on Thursday that an Albanian company has submitted a bid for Arbri’s road construction.

“Arbri’s road construction by concession is being considered. An Albanian company has already submitted a bid, but the process is yet in the initial phase,” said Dervishi, without giving further details on this bid.

Another bid was presented last year by a Chinese company. ‘Exim’, the Chinese Banks which backed bid made a backward step quitting this investment. Rumors blamed an un-kept promise by the Albanian executive to give them by concession a harbor or a mine as the origin of this backward step.
