After a long-pursuit that lasted approximately 4 hours the Albanian Border Police and Guardia di Finanzia stopped and blocked a drug speedboat, with three persons on board.
The speedboat with the narcotics on board was detected one day ago by the joint services of Border Police, Guardia Di Finanzia and Migration Police while sailing rapidly toward Italy.
The pursuit was concluded with its capture approximately 16 miles from the Albanian coasts. E.T, 22, born in Vlora, G.T, 42, and A.M. 41, both born in Brindizi, were arrested in flagrance while transporting some 400 kg of Cannabis Sativa. They will now be charged of narcotics possession and trafficking.
Police inquiry for the identification of narcotics area of origin and destination is still underway.
