The Opening of Accession Negotiations, Rama: Three’ Years Battle Fruit
November 9, 2016

Prime Minister Edi Rama defined the European Commission's recommendation to open the accession negotiations with Albania as the fruit of a 3-year battle for reforms implementation.

“That this was a long-awaited decision. The most beautiful fruit of a 3-years battle for the reforms,” said the chief of executive in a message published on Wednesday through the social networks.

PM Rama’s message was accompanied by a meaningful picture showing Albania’s map with an approval sign on it placed at the center of the EU flag.

European Commission recommends opening negotiations, but depending on the progress of judicial reform, mentioning nominally the vetting law, which is currently being considered by Venice Commission for advice on request of the Constitutional Court.
