Heavy Rain, Tirana-Durres Highway Blocked
November 8, 2016

Dense rainfall during Tuesday morning early generated numerous problems in Tirana. One of the biggest one seems to be the obstruction of Tirana-Durres highway, which is one of the main roads connecting the capital with the large part of the country. Sections of this highway were flooded thus the vehicles faced the impossibility to cross this road axis.

Police informed that immediate assistance has been provided to the stranded drivers

Currently the only way to reach Durres is through the old road axis of Ndroq.

According to police the most problematic roads are:

Tirana-Durres Highway;

Kashar-Vora;

Lezha-Shkodra; and Berdica Arch

General Directory of Civil Emergencies appealed to all the Albanian citizens to minimize their circulation.
