Borchardt: Files Disclosing Law Implementation Delayed
October 28, 2016

The Head of OSCE Presence, Bernd Borchardt criticized the Albanian politics on Friday, stressing that the creation of the authority of the law that follows the files disclosure adoption is being procrastinated.

“We regretfully conclude that, although it has been over a year and a half since the entry into force of the law, and despite the fact that Parliament has sent a list of 11 potential candidates for the 5 members of the Authority, the Assembly has not voted for the candidates. We greeted the momentum that seemed to accompany the implementation of this law and we want to see those responsible taking the necessary measures to bring this law back in parliament's agenda, in order to enable law enforcement and the files disclosure in accordance with the law,” said Borchardt.
