Turkey, Albania’s Strategic Partner - Says Minister

Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati held a meeting on Thursday with Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdo?an during a two-day official visit to this country.

Referring to the recently failed coup Bushati expressed Albania’s full solidarity and support to the people and the Turkish government's commitment to establish constitutional order in the country.

During this bilateral meeting pairs expressed appreciation for the work done to expand cooperation in all fields of common interest, and praised the work done so far for the strategic partnership consolidation. 

The importance of enhancing cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, energy, agriculture and tourism, which have a direct impact on the economy and strengthen cooperation in defense and security sector, was also underlined by the interlocutors during this meeting.
