The current situation of the health system in Albania generated a virtual clash between Prime Minister, Edi Rama and the citizens in the social networks. A video published by PM Rama as an illustration of the health system quality amelioration incited a wave of objections by the citizens. 

While PM Rama declared that the health system transformation was already underway the commentators replied by saying that he was just throwing dust to the people’s eyes. 

“This is another example of the gradual rebirth of our health system. Of course, much more needs to be done and painful processes wait us. We should guarantee the financial support for a number of projects that had been left aside since 20 years,” said PM Rama.

A commentator immediately replied by saying that PM Rama declaration was fraudulent, while urging him to show the true reality of this country.

PM Rama replied by calling this comment as fabricated by the so-called “Bin-Media” at the service of the opposition.

The unusual debate between PM Rama and the citizens exercising their right to free speech continued during many hours, creating an unusual precedent. This is the first time that a Prime Minister involves in a debate with commentators in the social networks.
