Veliaj: Public Transportation, We Should Break the Monopol
October 7, 2016

Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj suggested the idea of a public transportation company under the City Hall administration. His suggestion was presented during Friday’s meeting of the Municipal Council. According to Veliaj this step becomes necessary on view of the fact that private companies have created their own cartel in this sector.

“Tirana citizens are being kept in hostage by the public transportation private companies. It’s very easy to block people’s transportation through the creation of a cartel. Thus, the idea of a public transportation company managed by the City Hall must be considered as the only way to break this monopole,” said Veliaj.
