The wave of frost that engulfed the entire territory since last week will be followed by rainfalls and massive floods. This warning was given on Tuesday by the synoptic experts who foresaw the approach of air-streams from the West since next Friday.

“The cold Arctic air-streams will gain a new impulse on Tuesday and Wednesday, that will be followed by low-intensity snow-falls in the South and South-East areas. Meanwhile since next Friday warmer air-streams will come from the West, along with massive rainfalls and snowfalls in rural areas during night hours. 

This situation will generate an immediate increase of the temperatures and water flux in the rivers gorges, especially in Drin, Vjosa and Mat rivers. Their level is expected to increase during next weekend,” said the synoptic expert Rezarta Xhakollari.
