Another victim was registered on Sunday due to the low temperatures of these last days in the entire territory of Albania. A 34-year old from Saranda passed away after being urgently hospitalized in grave conditions. The victim was later identified as Leonard Arapi, a homeless known also as alcohol consumer.

The first victim due to the cold weather was registered one day ago in Durres. A 38-year old homeless was found lifeless by Durresi police. Preliminary verification show that the victim due to the extreme cold during night hours. 

Meanwhile Tirana City Hall opened a number of social centers a few days ago providing assistance to the homeless and people in need. Over 100 people have been assisted by the Municipal Police avoid the loss of human lives.
