The leader of opposition, Lulzim Basha declared on Friday that cannabis planted areas during 2016 were 5 times higher compared to the past year.

“The truth about cannabis cultivation in Albania is only one. There has been a fivefold increase of the cultivation areas during 2016. The truth over crime’s bosses is only one: they are not arrested, and the vetting has nothing to do with this process. Their arrest is hampered by the executive, the Interior Minister, Sajmir Tahiri and the Prime Minister, Edi Rama. The truth about corruption is only one: tenders and concessions are used for funds appropriation; illicit construction is experiencing a galloping increase, PM Rama’s entourage is involved in assets criminal abduction,” said Basha.

Referring to the opening of EU accessions negotiations Basha underlined that there is only one truth.

“Albania still fails to meet the criteria, while the executive gives no warranty for a free and fair electoral process,” declared the opposition’s leader.
