Interior Minister, Saimir Tahiri is the first minister of the Government who made the annual analysis of this institution for the last year.

In a long press conference Tahiri said that during 2016, police seized EUR 47.6 million assets from criminals activities. But he gave no data about the results of anti drugs operations and traffic.

"2016 was the most successful year on the last 25 years in Albania. Albanian citizens were safer and criminality decreased. During 2017 state police will work more to prevent drugs cultivation in the country," said Tahiri.

He underlined that during 2016, police treated 87.090 conflicts, were registered less criminal offenses than 2015 and were arrested more than 10.000 persons.
