Honorific title was awarded to President of the Republic, Bujar Nishani during his official visit to Turkey. Istanbul’s oldest university awarded the “Doctor of Honor” title to President Nishani in a solemn ceremony. 

In his gratitude speech President Nishani evidenced the great friendship between Albania and Turkey, underlining the fact that joint values and contribute given by a number of distinct Albanian personalities created the basis for this friendship consolidation.

President Nishani visit to Turkey agenda included also a meeting with Albanian community in Istanbul. The last expressed his gratitude for the contribution given by these associations in the preservation and the highest cultural and historic values, while promoting two countries excellent friendship.
