“The legal framework does not assist the workflow currently endured by the Administrative Court”. This was the conclusion of a monitoring report of this court activity during 2015, drafted by the OSCE presence in Tirana.

“The monitoring process shows that the legal framework does not assist the only Administrative Court of Appeal to cope with the current workflow. Albania does not have the luxury of delaying justice. Necessary resources for an efficient fulfillment of their duties should be given to the courts, restoring citizens’ confidence on the institutions,” declared Acting Head of OSCE Presence in Albania, Robert Wilton.

OSCE presence urges the Ministry of Justice to review the geographic coverage of each of the first instance court and consider establishing branches or courts "traveling" to remote areas.

In the framework of the Judicial Reform OSCE presence says that this is the right time to increase the number of administrative courts in the entire territory.
