"Rescue Archaeology in Relation to the new Developments in the Territory and the Balance between Them” workshop was organized in the premise of Ministry of Culture in cooperation with History and Philology Faculty. In her speech Minister of Culture, Mirela Kumbaro said that archeology is no longer a forgotten annex but a sector of development and employment potentials.

“Archeology is neither luxury nor a forgotten annex, but is sector of development in which we protect not only the cultural heritage but also create employment opportunities. Currently there are numerous vacancies for archeologists, due to the higher necessity for territory’s monitoring in defense of the archeology beside other development projects” said the Minister of Culture. 

While illustrating the archeology’s situation three years ago she laid the stress on some of the most crucial achievements on the reform in cultural heritage, explaining why the archeology and territory’s development are not in conflict with each other. On contrary, the existence of the right policies, fair laws and the necessary willingness for cooperation this partnership is successful.
