Emir Lenjani returned in the field as starter player with his team, Rennes after a nearly 4-month absence. The Albanian National Team footballer played in the France League Cup but his team experienced a sad 7-0 defeat by Monaco. Anyway, the 27-years old players had the best chance to score a goal in the last minutes but goalkeeper, Danijel Subasic maintained intact Monaco’s net.

Emir Lenjani played only a few matches with Renne during this season, a fact that is hampering his career. He has played a total of 114 minutes in the championship and France League Cup. His agreement with Rennes end next June, but rumors of an early departure from this team are already circulating. Last season Lenjani was loaned to Nantes where he played a higher number of matches and even scored a goal.
