Venice Commission Green Light for the Vetting Law

Vetting Law in Albania does not violates the articles of the European Convention on Human Rights or any other issue complained on the Constitutional Court.

This was the direct response of the Venice Commission made public on Saturday for the Vetting Law in Albania, voted in Parliament on August, 30.

The Commission, according to the text made public by Voice of America in Albania gave a positive assessment of the law and analyzed in detail all questions raised in Constitutional Court by the opposition and the Union of Judges.

The opinion will be deposit on Constitutional Court, which will decide to maintain the suspension on Vetting Law or will let its implementation.

Vetting Law is considered as an important law for the Albanian road toward integration and key for the opening of the accession negotiations from EU.
