Dozens of young activists of the Democratic Party (DP) chose to commemorate Youth’s Day by symbolically encircling the institutions in sign of protest. Their protest kicked off since morning hours through the “encirclement” of the Ministry of Education, Tirana City Hall, Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Health.

These parallel protests will be finalized with a major protest at noon in front of Premier’s office against the left wing executive and its reforms.

December 8 celebration as Youth’s Day marks the beginning of the students’ protests 26 years ago. Their protests gave the signal which turned down the communist regime and cleared the path to pluralism in Albania.
