The Council of Ministers approved on Wednesday the new Amnesty Law proposed by the Ministry of Justice. Based on the document, 1000 prisoners are expected to leave the cells before Christmas and New Years Eve while 3000 others will benefit sentences reduction. 

According to this law, every prisoner condemned up to two-years of imprisonment until December 31 and those whose remained sentence is not longer than 2-years are immediately released. 

Women over 55 or men over 60 and teenagers condemned for petty offences and prisoners with permanent physical injuries or other incurable illness will also be released thanks to this amnesty.
