Another social canteen was opened on Wednesday in a suburban area of Tirana providing assistance to the people in need. Speaking to journalists during the canteen’s inauguration Mayor Erion Veliaj said that was one more kept promise by the City Hall.

“I am more than pleased by the fact that we managed to open the third social canteen in Tirana. We kept a promise made to the citizens by opening three social canteens in different areas of the city. I want to express my gratitude to the community in these areas for assisting the City Hall staff in this process,” said Veliaj.

He underlined that this project will continue and more social canteens will soon be opened all around the city. 

“Despite the multitude of problems experienced on a daily basis people in need should be given a chance to enjoy a hot meal, feeling state’s presence. Some other things may be left aside, but I think that city improves through our dedication to these people,” declared Mayor Veliaj.
