Police in Italy have arrested 14 Albanians for allegedly trafficking young girls from Albania, Romania, Czech Republic and Moldavia for prostitution purposes. Illicit profits obtained through prostitution were then used to purchase large quantities of cocaine in Netherlands which was then smuggled to Italy.
The Albanians were arrested thanks to a police raid dubbed “Our Land”, which finalized a long inquiry conducted in cooperation with Albanian police. The arrested individuals’ names have not yet been unveiled due to inquiry’s secrecy.
