Integration Process, Basha New Proposal for the Vetting Law
November 29, 2016

The leader of the opposition Lulzim Basha reacted immediately over the Prime Minister Edi Rama accusation that DP is blocking integration process through the Vetting Law.

In a press conference, Basha called Rama's declarations a pretext to justify his failure on the Albanian integration process. Despite this fact, Basha made another proposal for the Government.

"DP is ready to amend the Vetting Law referring to the Albanian Constitution avoiding Constitutional Court. The solution is simple: let's vote with consensus the Vetting Law," said Basha.

Vetting Law is actually in Constitutional Court. DP asked from this Court to give its opinion believing that the law voted only from the ruling coalition violates the Albanian Constitution.

Constitutional Court asked an opinion from Venice Commission on this issue.
