‘Halili and Hajria’ Returns to NOBT
November 19, 2016

The first Albanian ballet “Halili and Hajria” returns on Saturday evening in the National Opera and Ballet Theater (NOBT) stage. Of course the protagonists are not the same, but two known names like Ballet-Maestro, Rexhep Çeliku and Enada Hoxha will perform in front of the art-lovers.

This performance brings back not only the first Albanian ballet but also a complete panorama of an era where the folklore and the premieres had Albanian authors’ names, like Preng Jakova, Avni Mula or Tish Daija.

“Halili and Hajria” comes to the stage as part of “Undivided for Albania” event that brings together all NOBT artistic troops in a grandious performance.

The program includes the first Albanian ballet, aries from “Scanderbeg” and “Borana” operas which will be performed by some of the most known voices of Albanian lyric music like Ylber Gjini, Eva Golemi, Armando Likaj, Sidrit Bejleri and Elson Braha.
