Parliament Elects Members of the Authority for the Opening of Communism-Era Files

Parliament voted on Thursday the members of the authority responsible for the opening of the communism-era files. Opposition boycotts the session at the end, remaining without a member in this authority.

With 76 votes pro, one against and 3 abstain, Parliament voted the candidature of SMI, Altin Hoxha, with 77 votes pro the candidature of SP, Mariglen Kasmi, the candidature of the former political prisoners, Daut Gumeni, with 76 votes pro and Simon Miraka with 75 votes, a candidate proposed from the Association of Human Rights.

The only candidate of the opposition, Selami Zalli, was rejected with 67 votes against and only nine pro.
