Pogradec, ‘Remand in Prison’ for ISIS Fighter

Pogradec First Degree Court issued the “Remand in Prison” verdict on Monday for Ervin Duka, 29, arrested on ground of being a former ISIS fighter. The semi-paralyzed young man has been defined as a high-risk person by the police after returning from Syria 2 years ago. He returned to Albania due to a jaw’s injury while fighting in Syria. 

Duka was arrested by the police on the eve of Albania - Israel match in Elbasan Arena. A quantity of explosives and 89 bullets were seized by the police during a minute inspection in his house.
