Basha: EU Negotiations, Not Obstructed by Our Request
November 8, 2016

The leader of Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha stressed that opposition’s amendment in the request for negotiations with EU opening which appeals to the Council of Europe Commission to condition the opening date does not obstruct this process. Speaking to the journalists on Tuesday, Basha underlined that DP asked only the fulfillment of the five criteria that EU has decided for Albania.

“We not have asked for anything more or less than the fulfillment of five criteria of the European Union, the implementation of decriminalization and electoral reform. Everything else is just majority's attempt to draw attention away from decriminalization, cannabis and electoral reform,” said Basha.

He underlined that the attitude of the Democratic Party does not hinder the process on view of the fact that dates depend on the conditions fulfillment.
