Family Blocked by Waters, Rescued by Helicopter

A “Cougar” helicopter of the Albanian Armed Forces was involved in a multiple rescue operation in Burrel. A family of five was isolated in their two-store house as consequence of heavy floods. Five-month child and 83-years old women were rescued by helicopter following the alarm raised by the relatives.

Meanwhile Armed Forces effectives are currently working in Lezha substation in order to prevent city’s flooding. 

Armed Forces effectives and vehicles are also at work in Mat district providing assistance to the Civil Emergencies for the endangered families evacuation.
