
An international anti-crime raid against trafficking recently conducted by Europol marked the participation of the Albanian police. A raid dubbed “Ciconia Alba” focused mainly on Germany where Albanian agents provided valuable assistance to the German colleagues.
A total of 23 ton of cocaine and a sum of Euro 181.500 were seized during this international raid. Meanwhile a total of 529 persons were rescued from the human trafficking networks. 314 persons were arrested by the police during this raid that saw the participation of 52 states.
449 new investigations in a number of countries followed this large scale raid directed by the Europol headquarters in Hague.
