President of the Republic, Bujar Nishani addressed a congratulatory message on Wednesday to the Albanian citizens on Mother Teresa National Day. 

“I wish to address my most heartfelt congratulations all compatriots wherever they live, work and study the National Day of Mother Teresa, already proclaimed by the Catholic Church and globally known as "Saint Teresa of Calcutta”. This day marks a unique celebration for us, the Mother Teresa National Day. 13 years ago we assisted in her beatification thanks to the immense contribution and the innumerous humanitarian works accomplished by this great Albanian woman,” said President Nishani.

He emphasized that Mother Teresa remains always the most significant example of unconditional love, of respect for human and another that is otherwise in need, the symbol of the unparalleled coexistence and religious harmony that Albanian nation has fed, practiced and perfected over centuries.
