Local elections for the new mayor of Kolonja will take place on November 20. This date was decreed on Thursday by the President of the Republic, Bujar Nishani. The decree enters in force immediately, thus the political parties face the legal obligation of presenting the new candidates and prepare for the electoral campaign.
This process takes place due to the sudden death of the former Mayor of Kolonja, Arben Malo, due to a heart attack. He represented the Alliance for European Albania.
