Parliament Speaker, Ilir Meta, at the same time the Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) chair, conducted a meeting with party’s structure in Berat. This meeting was part of the electoral campaign for the new SMI leader election.

During his speech Speaker Meta considered this electoral process as very serious. He underlined the fact that this process demands a reflection of the entire activity of this political force, adding that Albania needs positive messages in the name of the country’s European future.

“We must construct a more positive Albania. Thus a major synergy of the positive energies of every Albanian citizen is needed. SMI has shown clearly that it is a positive factor, which carries a very positive message, in the name of country’s European future,” said Speaker Meta.

He emphasized the fact that Albania needs a comprehensive spirit of doing politics.

“This comprehensive spirit most not be extended only between actors or political factors, but must aim above all to involve in decision-making and policy-making processes the citizens, and the communities,” said Speaker Meta.
