Tirana Bus Lines, 147 Fines on Two Weeks

Numerous fines have been imposed by Tirana Municipality and Consumers Protection Agency on different companies operating city’s bus lines due to the lack of the necessary conditions defined by those institutions in relation to the service quality and standards.

147 fines in a value up to Lek 17 Million have been imposed on companies failing to provide the required service. Among most problematic bus lines rank those operating in “Sauk”, “Unaza”, “Uzina e Traktori”, “Tirana e Re” and “Porcelani.”

Controls intensification follows bus ‘companies request for ticket’s price approval by the City Hall.
