
Starting from Monday, February 1st all the Albanian citizens will pay more for a bus ticket or bus pass fare. This day will starts to be applied the new prices for urban transportation. The price of the bus ticket has increased by 30%, which means that the Albanian citizens will pay Lek40 from Lek30, they paid the previous year.
The bus farewill not only be increased for the single ticket, but also for the monthly bus pass. The fare increase is higher for the monthly bus passes. According to the bus fares, the monthly pass of a single line has increased by 75%, while the monthly bus pass for all lines has increased by 50%.
In this way, the monthly bus pass for a single line will become Lek1400 from Lek800 in the beginning Meanwhile, the bus pass for all lines will be changed to Lek1800 from Lek1200. The pass which is not affected from this increase is the students’ category pass, which remains Lek600.
