The Albanian politics should be cleaned up from all those individuals with a criminal past in two months only. According to the new law voted during the late hours of Thursday, all the elected people in public administration and politics should complete a form, which must prove that they have not been convicted of serious criminal offenses.
If they refuse the completing of this form, then their removal process will start immediately from all public functions. The detention period to be appointed or elected, will go up to 20 years from the date of conviction, depending on the length of the sentence.
