Skenderbeu ends with a heavy defeat their season in Europa League. Albania’s “Champions” team, despite the promises made to win over Lokomotiv Moscow club, they were beaten 0-3 by the latter team in "Elbasan Arena" stadium, in their last confrontation at the group stage in Europa League.

The Russian team showed a good performance at the beginning of the match, after several chances they passed in advantage with the goal scored by Tarasov in the 18thminute. During the first half, Skenderbeu improved their their game's performance, and they had many chances to reach a draw, but Skenderbeu’s player Hamdi Salihi made an error and did not reach to score. 

After the break, both teams were close to goal scoring, but it was theRussian team to realize two goals in the end. Niasse and Samedov scored in the 89thand 91stminute of the second half of the game. 

Skenderbeu achieved one victory only during this season, which was that against Sporting of Lisbon. Meanwhile, they suffered unexpectedly 5 losses in the group stage. Sporting of Lisbon and Lokomotiv of Moscow club reached the qualification in the second phase, only after Sporting of Lisbon won 3-1 over Besiktas club in Lisbon.
