Rama-Stoltenberg: Albania, Important Role against Terrorism

Albanian's commitment as NATO's member country against terrorism, was on the focus of the meeting's discussions between the Prime Minister, Edi Rama and the General Secretary of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg. During the joint press conference, held soon after the meeting behind closed doors, Rama declared that Albania owns the necessary measures and is in readiness to face the threats that come from the "Islamic State"(IS).

He underlined that the approval of National Strategy Against Extremist Groups is a step forward taken by the Albanian State against evil. On his part, Stoltenberg evaluated the role of Albania in NATO and its contribution to peace mission. "We've appreciated the role of Albanian country in Ukraine, Georgia and especially in Western Balkans," said Stoltenberg.
