The Minister for Urban Development, Eglantina Gjermeni, asked to the regional directors of the Agency for Legalization to accelerate the work pace for illegal buildings. Gjermeni says that more than 35.000 objects have been legalized so far. But the Head of ALUIZNI, Artan Lame, underlined that more cooperation is needed with the local government.
“The reports from the local government have been weak. We have tried to take them into this process,” said the Head of the Agency, Artan Lame.
In parallel with the legalization, the government says they have started urbanizing some informal areas in Durres, Vlore and Lushnje through special regional funds.
