
Prime Minister, Edi Rama, took a step back on Monday on Government's measures against small business activities. During the meeting with the small business representatives, Rama said that business with an annual turnover less than $50,000 will not be paying anymore taxes to the state. Hitherto, they pay Lek250,000 per annum. In the meantime he added that the government will take off all tax inspectors who were charged with this duty.
"There will be no more inspectors on the field to control the businesses day-to-day or every threes days," said Rama, underlining that business is to be considered as the Government's ally.
